Though we have collaborators, the driving force behind Seabreezy is me: a crazy-haired guy named Drew. This tangled, wind-blown surfer mop of mine, like the name of my company, might seem out of place in the most landlocked part of the country. But a lack of beaches has never held me back from my love of surfing, nor my determination to spread sunny vibes – even on the unbeachiest of days here in the Midwest. But my family lives here so I’m trapped, for the moment, between loves. Perhaps you’re like me and your happiest, kindest place is on a sandy beach near the ocean. But here, we believe the Easy-Breezy style is less about location and more about a state of mind/state of heart. Whatever your happy place is, be it swimming in an ocean, climbing a mountain, or spending a wild afternoon of competitive duck herding–Seabreezy is based on the idea of emanating love to others by keeping those personal “happy places” close to our hearts. What better place to embody heart than here in the heartland? At least until I can earn enough to fund my next big surfing roadtrip with friends. I serve as a Digital Director for Loving Shepherd Ministries, which lies somewhere between an NGO and a for-profit business model. Basically, we start businesses strategically in developing countries and use our profits to help vulnerable and trafficked kids. By creating content for our website, socials and digital campaigns I’ve cultivated a skillset in visual storytelling that I’ve been blessed to share with those here in my community!
